Sustainability Is Important To Us
At Kirrin Finch, we don't believe sustainability is black and white. We approach it with the commitment to always do better. We factor in sustainability when selecting the materials we use, the factories we partner with, and the brands we purchase from. We strive to always keep sustainability in mind when we make decisions as a brand.
Ethical Factories
We think the person making our clothes is just as important as the person wearing our clothes. That's why we scour the globe to find factories with fair labor and ethical manufacturing practices. We value our partnerships and create long standing relationships with our factories.
Material Matters
We constantly evaluate the fabrics and materials we use to incorporate sustainable choices. We work with sustainable materials and strive to add more to our collection. Some of these choices include:
- Reprocessed wool in our Tweed Blazers and Vests
- Cupro-cotton blends linings of select suits
- Corozo buttons on our suits
- Organic shirting materials
Resell Platform
Our goal is to make high-quality, sustainable products that are built to last, and we want to extend their life and keep them in circulation for as long as possible. That’s why we launched the Kirrin Finch Pre-Loved Marketplace, a dedicated space to buy and sell authentic pre-loved Kirrin Finch clothing, as well as one-of-a-kind samples and new garments with minor embellishments at reduced prices.
Packaging
In keeping with our values of being eco-friendly, Kirrin Finch is proud to use EcoEnclose to package and ship your orders. Our packaging is recycled, recyclable, and manufactured domestically and ethically.
By choosing recycled packaging last year we saved:
- 144,864.72 lbs of wood, which is equivalent to 388.22 trees
- 227,387.16 lbs of CO2 EQ, which is equivalent to the CO2 released by 11,605.84 gallons of gasoline.
- 227.03 Million BTUs of electricity, which is enough electricity to power the average US household for 2,181.48 days.
- 101,261.16 gallons of water, which is enough water for 9,643.92 five minute showers.
