Tell us about yourselves! (Where do you live, what do you do for work and fun, etc.)
You can usually find us hunting for treasures at local thrift shops, hosting cozy dinners for friends and family, or getting way too into a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. We're also active in our local Unitarian Universalist church - our Reverend even officiated our ceremony!

How did you two meet?
Hi! We're the Pecci’s, a queer couple living in Boston with our very oversized cat, Cleo. We met at Simmons University, where we were friends (though, to be fair, Merrill had a not-so-secret crush on Erin pretty early on). Eventually, that friendship blossomed into something much more, and once we realized how right it felt, everything just clicked into place.
What was important to you in planning your wedding day?
When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to reflect our values and our community. It was really important to us to work with freelance vendors—especially folks who share our values around inclusion, creativity, and care. We wanted to support people whose work felt personal and grounded in connection.
We also prioritized making the day as accessible as possible for all our guests. Our community includes people with a range of access needs, so we were intentional about creating a space where everyone could feel comfortable, included, and celebrated. That meant everything from physical accessibility to clear signage and plenty of seating options.
Above all, we wanted the day to feel simple, joyful, and fun—for us and for everyone who showed up to celebrate with us. We skipped a lot of the traditions that didn’t resonate and truly focused instead on the things that felt most like us.

How did you go about choosing what to wear for the wedding day?
We were both really involved in the entire wedding planning process, and choosing what to wear was no exception. From the beginning, we made it a point to hype each other up and create space for both of us to find outfits that felt true to who we are.
We have different body types and personal styles, so it was important that we each felt confident and comfortable in what we wore. It was a really fun and affirming process to cheer each other on, share inspiration, and see how our individual looks came together in a way that felt effortlessly us.

How did you feel when you first saw yourself in your wedding suit?
Merrill felt confident, affirmed, and ready to party!
Which Kirrin Finch pieces did you wear?
Merrill wore the Georgie Olive Suit Blazer in a size XS and the Georgie Olive Dress Pants in a size XS!

What were some of the most special memories from your wedding day?
It’s honestly so hard to pick just one—there were so many sweet, meaningful moments throughout the day. But if we had to choose a favorite, it was seeing all of our people together in one place. We had guests travel from over 10 different states to be there with us, and that kind of love and effort meant the world. Just looking around the room and realizing how many folks showed up to support us—it was overwhelming in the best way.
Another moment that really sticks with us was stepping outside to take photos in the snow. It was pretty cold (obviously—it’s New England in the winter), but it felt so peaceful and magical, like we got a little pocket of stillness to soak it all in.

Any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the choices and details, so checking in with your partner throughout the process is key. Talk about what really matters to both of you, and let that guide your decisions.
Be realistic with your budget—figure out what’s worth the splurge, and where you can simplify. We found that so many things, especially decorations, can be sourced second-hand or borrowed, and still look amazing.
Most importantly, be a team. Support each other, have fun with it, and don’t stress the small stuff. The day will fly by, but planning it together is its own kind of memory.
