My assessment: The pants look pretty nice and I can fit most of my forearms into the pockets; the length was about right. 5'3.5", 125-ish pounds; a 27" waist and 38" in the 'hips' left me pretty confused about sizing...do I go with a 0 or a 6?! In most women's jeans/pants I wear a 4, so I went with that, which may have been a mistake. I can fit my phone in the front pockets easily, but the resulting bulge is quite obvious--somewhere between what a pair of yoga pants with pockets and a pair of womens jeans (if they had a front pocket) would look like. In photo, I have a little velcro-close bifold card wallet (with a keyring on it) in the right pocket and a set of keys with a lego man and cat/bulldog/brass knuckles keychain. While I don't like the look of the wallet/cell phone, I was actually really surprised by how well my keys fit and how they weren't very obvious even though I made no effort to flatten them out. I was hoping the pants would be a little thicker weight of material so they didn't have such a bulge (see the pants video at 2:15 for what a phone looks like in the pocket). If you've got skinnier legs and/or a boxier shape on bottom, the phone or wallet in your pocket might be less obvious. Then, the pants are definitely not hip huggers; as I feared, they are too big in the waist which makes them sit a little lower/saggier that takes away from the air of professionalism. I have yet to decide if I'm going to try to exchange these for a smaller size (would the pocket problem get worse/would they get too tight?) or get them hemmed in at the waist. I'm a bit disappointed because I am looking for comfortable, professional, fun pants with functional pockets, and these are so close to meeting all of the requirements. That said, I'm pretty sure I refuse to outright return them as I'm still not convinced there's actually anything better out there on the market.
