Look 1, Give Me Flowers While I’m Here - Milly DuBouchet

In this moment of unprecedented attacks against the LGBTQIA+ community, Milly DuBouchet set the tone by wearing our Magenta Georgie suit, paired with our Pink Easy-Care Dress Shirt and a bouquet of flowers, embodying our theme of 'giving flowers' to the queer community. We aimed to remind everyone of the importance of celebrating and honoring queer joy and beauty amidst ongoing challenges and struggles.

Look 2 , Our Existence is Resistance - NYC Council Member, Crystal Hudson

Crystal Hudson made history as the first out, gay, Black woman ever elected to the New York City Council in 2021. She represents District 35, which includes the neighborhoods of Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and parts of Crown Heights. Crystal is a community organizer and public servant committed to making government more accessible and delivering a just recovery for all New Yorkers in the wake of a global pandemic, economic crisis, and racial reckoning. Crystal wore our Gray Ecopony Suit (launching later this year!) adorned with the message “Our Existence is Resistance”, our Addams Blue Easy-Care Dress Shirt, and a gorgeous floral tie!

Look 3, Respect ALL Families - President and CEO of Family Equality, Jaymes Black

Jaymes Black joined Family Equality as the first Black Chief Executive Officer in 2021. A trailblazing leader, Jaymes was selected as one of Out Magazine’s Out100 list in 2022 — a compilation of the year’s most impactful and influential LGBTQ+ people. Founded in 1979, Family Equality has spent more than 40 years ensuring that everyone has the freedom to find, form, and sustain their families by advancing equality for the LGBTQ+ community. In alignment with their impactful work, Jaymes wore “Respect ALL Families'' on the back of our classic The Georgie Black Suit . They paired this look with our Addams White Easy-Care Dress Shirt, with their head adorned with a floral crown! 

Look 4, More Color, More Pride Flag, Deputy Executive Director for Strategy & Culture at ACLU and Philadelphia's, ‘More Color, More Pride’ Flag Designer, Amber Hikes

Amber Hikes is a social justice advocate, community organizer, and TED Talk Speaker. In their role at the ACLU, Amber serves as chief counselor and principal partner to the executive director, overseeing the critical functions of the organization’s strategic planning and programmatic priority setting. Previously, they served as the ACLU’s first Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer.

In 2017, Amber introduced the world to the ‘More Color, More Pride’ flag, launching a global conversation around anti-racism in the LGBTQ community. Amber exploded down the runway in our Georgie Light Gray Suit with the ‘More Color, More Pride’ flag sewn onto the back of their blazer! Amber completed their look with our Addams Black Easy-Care Dress Shirt, a floral leis around their neck, and flowers tucked into their favorite pair of black Doc Martens!

Look 5 , Wear Your Truth - Emma Herrera 

We aspire to allow people to express themselves authentically, and that’s why Kirrin Finch’s tagline is "Wear Your Truth"! Founded in 2015, Kirrin Finch is a conscientious clothing company that meets the growing demand for menswear-inspired apparel designed to fit women, trans, and non-binary bodies. Emma Herrera wore our The Georgie Burgundy Suit, embellished with the Kirrin Finch tagline on the front and back of the blazer! Emma paired this look with our Ray Geometric Short Sleeve Shirt and rocked a golden floral boa around their neck! 

Look 6, We Will Not Be Erased/Trans Flag - Sam Mossallam

Despite their pivotal role in advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion, trans rights have often been neglected. With a surge of escalating violence and anti-trans bills that seek to take away medically necessary gender affirming care, it's crucial that we unite in the fight for intersectional LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance. 

Modeled by Miami-based, trans activist, and DJ, Sam Mossallam, this look features our Georgie Suit, color-blocked in trans colors, light blue and pink, with the entire right side of the blazer adorned in white flowers to represent the intersex community. Sam paired this look with a black leather harness and white platform Doc Martens! The trans community will not be erased!

Look 7, Trailblazer - Barbara Abrams representing SAGE

Barbara Abrams is one of the residents at Brooklyn's Stonewall House, an innovative LGBTQ+-friendly older adult center run by SAGE. Founded in 1978, SAGE is a national advocacy and services organization centered around creating inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ elders in need of safe and affordable housing. These centers foster community and provide resources that extend into the broader community with services like monthly food pantries. “I have a support system that feels like family and I always feel loved and cared about,” says Barbara. 

Without elders like Barbara, who bravely chose to be who they were in the face of adversity, we wouldn’t be here. Barbara closed out our show with a bang as she confidently strutted down the runway in our midnight navy tuxedo, Georgie Black Dress Pants, Addams White Easy-Care Dress Shirt, and Black Bow Tie. She came down the runway with her floral adorned walker with the message “Trailblazer” attached! Barbara was truly the star of the show!
